The shooting of the documentary started in August 2021 and covers a time span of three years – final shooting is expected to occur in November 2024. Post-production is expected to be completed in March 2025.
The long time span of shooting with the two protagonists allows for a close life portrait of both of them. Not only the everyday material life, but also the inner fight.

The concept of the documentary is from director Dr. Jose Chavez Boggio. Being a physicist by profession, he founded in Berlin the production company Caral Filmproduktion. Mein Wohnraum ist Riesig is his first feature documentary.
