The research period started in March 2020, when several locations scattered in Berlin were visited where homeless people live. A large amount of work consisted in approaching people in places where they receive food for free or for a symbolic fee. There was a process of building trust and learning their life stories. Since most of homeless people do not have a telephone, sometimes the contact was broken after weeks of interaction: the people simply disappear. Contacting people was central and took a long time because the goal was to find very special people with movie-like life stories. The production of the documentary is expected to be completed by December 2023.
